faq’s
Can we come and go from the event?
Discovery Festival has a no re-entry policy. Unless permitted by security at the entry gate on a case-by-case basis in emergencies.
Can we bring in food and drink?
No food and drink can be taken into the venue – a doctor’s note will permit food/drink required for medical conditions. Cups of water are available at the bars free of charge. You can also bring in an empty water bottle no more than 500ml.
Can we bring camping Chairs, Gazebos and Blankets?
Small folding camping chairs are permitted. There will be a designated area for these to be placed in. Please note camping chairs must be removed from their carry bags for inspection upon entry. No gazebos or blankets can be taken into the venue.
Can we get a refund?
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged unless the event is cancelled, or postponed, or there is a material change to the event. A ‘material’ change is a change which, in our opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that any purchaser of a ticket could reasonably expect. A change to the artists performing at the event shall not be a material change. Refunds should be obtained from the point of purchase. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. Discovery Festival will not be liable for the payment or any compensation of personal expenses related to the event.
What are the travel options?
Via Train:
Plymouth Train Station is a 15-20 minute picturesque (though uphill) walk through the back of Central Park to Home Park. Alternatively, it’s a 5 minute drive in a Taxi.
Via Car:
Plymouth Central Park is easily accessible by car. Situated just off the A38, it can be easily located along Outland Road. From the east, take the A38 to Plymouth and exit at Manadon roundabout, signposted “Plymouth Argyle and Ferry Port” and A386. Take the second exit at the roundabout, following the direction of the flyover, to the left. Travel a mile on this road, and Home Park will appear on your left and this will leave you a short walk to the Discovery Festival entrance.
If coming from the west, head towards Plymouth on the A38, and take the junction indicated above, but take the fifth exit, to the right. For Sat-Nav purposes, the postcode of Central Park is PL2 3DQ.
Parking:
If you are arriving via car, the car parks you can utilise next to Central Park:
Mayflower Drive B Car Park – Plymouth, PL2 3DG
Milehouse Park & Ride – 67 Outland Rd, Plymouth PL2 3DA
Via Bus/Coach:
There are multiple routes to Central Park from across the city – https://www.plymouthbus.co.uk/services
